EVENT RULES
When signing up for one of our events you digitally agree having read and understood event rules and conditions. Grenserittet, Grenserittet MIDT and Grenserittet UNG all follow NCFs regulations.
REGISTRATION
Online registration by card payment or invoice is binding. As soon as the registration is confirmed the participant will be listed on the official start list. Making changes in your registration (cancelling a service or cost) will not lead to a refund.
Upon entry one accepts that the information related to the participant's name and results are available on the internet. The event organizer has the right to publish photographs and video from event days in their entirety, in newspapers, in print and on the internet.
PARTICIPANT RESPONSIBILITIES
- All participants are under all circumstances responsible for picking up their participant envelope in good time before start. Entrants MAY be required credentials / ID when collecting the participant envelope.
- All participants, except persons over 79 years of age and foreign citizens, must have a valid license (yearly license or single use race license) in Grenserittet, Grenserittet Midt and Ung and is thereby also assured by the organizer.
- It is forbidden to start in an earlier start group than assigned. You must meet up in the start area at least 15 minutes before your start time.
- All participants must attach their start number with chip by following the instructions attached in the start envelope.
- All participants race at their own risk and are required to comply with applicable laws for traffic on public roads.
- Please follow the organizer’s signs and instructions from start to finish.
- All participants must act as good sportsmen and must not in any way hinder other participants.
- It is strictly forbidden to use the start number of another participant.
- For safety reasons music/radio headphones/earplugs are not allowed in any race.
- "Aero bars" on handlebars are not allowed.
- In the "trimklasse" you may use an electric bike. The bike must be approved for use on common roads according to norwegian traffic legislation.
- All participants must wear an approved bicycle helmet during the whole race.
- It is not allowed to exchange bikes, use a support vehicle or otherwise receive assistance for propulsion (push / pull) by outsiders.
- Participants are responsible for carrying loss / damage to the bicycle or equipment in general.
- Littering is strictly prohibited.
DISQUALIFICATION
- Violation of one or more of the above conditions may result in disqualification.
- Use of banned stimulants / doping leads to immediate disqualification and reporting to current union.
- Unannounced doping tests may occur.
SELLING YOUR START NUMBER
Selling or giving away your start number to another individual is allowed until signup deadline for an administration fee of NOK 200. This must be done according to our instructions. Please follow this process. You must not change the name in your registration or let another person participate with your start number. The latter two examples will lead to disqualification according to our race regulations.
APPEAL DEADLINE
Appeals/complaints on timing, event-related incidents or any financial claim must be directed to post@grenserittet.com within 72 hours (3 days) after the first finish in that particular race. Any complaints on transport, see item "other".
ILLNESS / INJURY / ADVERSE EVENT
According to general rules for events / concerts or other events no refund will be given if you by any chance cannot participate. This also applies in case of illness. Please contact your private insurance company, as this type of events in some cases can be covered by personal insurance. However, you can sell start number using the method described in the chapter “selling your start number”.
CANCELLATION / INTERRUPTION
In case of cancellation beyond the organizer's command, force majeure and similar up to 50% of the entry fee can be given. Such cancellation will be announced through our website and our secretariat. If the race is stopped later than 12 hours before the first start, the race is considered CANCELLED competition and does not entitle a refund.
OTHER
- Bus transportation of participants in Grenserittet is organized under the responsibility of the bus company. Any complaints should be directed to the bus company directly.
- The organizers have no responsibility for any damage / loss arising on bicycles in the transport of these or if a bicycle is left along the trail.
- The organizers have no responsibility for any damage / loss arising from the transportation of luggage associated with our events.
- "Bicycle parking" and "Bike Wash" are free of charge services. The use of these services are at your own risk.
- The organizer reserves the right to change start group number, group sizes and also moving participants to other start groups.
- Maximum times/time limits will be set at each service station. If arriving later than the set maximum time the participant must cancel the race for security reasons.
