Kvaløya Ski Marathon 2027

The race is held in the classic style.

Race schedule:

11:00 AM: Mass start for the 42 km race at Sandnessund Cemetery (approx. 2.5 km north of Sandnessund Bridge; marked from County Road 863 towards Finnvika). Seeded skiers start at the front.

11:00 AM: Mass start for the 21 km race at Storelva Ski Stadium; recreational and competitive classes. Recreational participants start at the back of the mass start group.

11:30 AM: Mass start for the Mini-Marathon in Straumsbukta.

From 10:30 - 11:00 Start for the 12 km recreational race from Bygdehuset in Håkøybotn.

REGISTRATION:

Registration remains open right up until the race starts.

After Sunday, February 21, all registration fees (except for the 0–12 age group) will increase by NOK 100.

42 KM:

Competitive classes for seniors.

Registration fee: Until Feb 21: NOK 650. From Feb 22: NOK 750.

21 KM:

Competitive classes: Youth (13–14 and 15–16 years) and Junior (17–18 and 19–20 years). Also a competitive class for seniors, though not age-specific categories—only Women and Men.

The 21 km recreational race is suitable for everyone; children under 13 may also participate—preferably accompanied by an adult.

Recreational participants (untimed) may start between 10:00 AM and 10:30 AM, or join the mass start at 11:00 AM.

12 KM:

12 KM recreational class, untimed. Start at Bygdehuset, Håkøybotn.

Registration fees, 12 km and 21 km:

Up to and including Feb 21: Ages 0–12: 150 NOK. Ages 13–20: 350 NOK. Ages 21+: Recreational class: 450 NOK; Competitive class: 500 NOK.

From Feb 22: Ages 0–12: 150 NOK. Ages 13–20: 450 NOK. Ages 21+: 550 NOK / 600 NOK (recreational / competitive).

Mini-marathon:

The mini-marathon starts and finishes in Straumsbukta. Mass start at 11:30.

Registration fee: 150 NOK.
