Join us for the Skeikampen Opp mountain race in Gausdal on Saturday, 3 October 2026!
This year marks the 13th edition of Skeikampen Opp. Whether you’re chasing a new personal best, looking to challenge friends and family, or simply want to enjoy a great hike to the summit, we hope you’ll join us all the way to the top!
Skeikampen Opp is suitable for both competitive athletes and recreational participants of all ages. You decide whether you want to race against the clock or make your way to the top at your own pace.
Everyone who finishes receives a finisher’s medal at the finish line!
The race starts at the foot of Skeikampen and finishes at the stone hut at the summit.
Over 2.8 kilometres, you’ll climb 340 vertical metres through beautiful mountain scenery. At the top, you’ll be rewarded with fantastic views and that great sense of achievement that comes with making it all the way up!
The recreational class is untimed and is perfect for anyone who wants to complete Skeikampen Opp at their own pace.
You can start at any time between 11:00 and 11:30.
There will also be prize draws based on race numbers before the start among participants in the recreational class.
The competitive classes will start in waves:
11:45: All classes with dogs
12:00: Men aged 17–49
12:10: All women’s classes
12:20: Men aged 11–16 and men aged 50 and over
The three fastest overall times for women and men will receive gift vouchers from Skeikampen Eiendom:
1st place: NOK 3,000
2nd place: NOK 1,500
3rd place: NOK 500
Competitive classes, ages 11–14:
The top three will receive prizes, and at least one-third of all participants will receive a prize.
Competitive classes, ages 15–16:
The top three will receive prizes, and at least one-third of all participants will receive a prize.
Competitive classes, ages 17 and over, as well as classes with dogs:
The top three in each class will receive gift vouchers from Sport 1 Skeikampen:
1st place – NOK 450
2nd place – NOK 350
3rd place – NOK 250
Everyone who finishes receives a finisher’s medal at the finish line.
Registration by 29 September:
Recreational class and competitive classes up to and including age 16: NOK 200
Competitive classes from age 17: NOK 340
Registration after 29 September:
Recreational class and competitive classes up to and including age 16: NOK 300
Competitive classes from age 17: NOK 450
Licence fee is additional.
Online registration remains open until 11:00 on race day.

Exactly ten years ago, Skeikampen Opp set its participation record with an impressive 452 participants – 286 in the competitive classes and 166 recreational participants.

Race numbers can be collected on the ground floor by the car park next to the start area.
The course is marked with orange spray paint and red and white tape.
It can be nice to have warm clothes waiting for you after you finish. Clothing can be transported by lift to the summit so that it is available when you reach the finish line.
Clothing must be handed in before 12:15.
Skeikampen Opp is about more than the time on the clock. It’s about the challenge, the mountain experience and the sense of achievement when you reach the top.
Bring your family. Challenge a friend. Gather your training group. Or set yourself the goal of beating your own time.
You don’t have to be the fastest – you just need to want to make it to the top!
